Since 2001, Certis has been dedicated to delivering bio-based products that represent repeated use on thousands of acres each year.
All of this effort has given way to the broadest portfolio of biologically based crop solutions for use in organic and conventional agriculture available on the market today. Our products cover the spectrum of issues that threaten the health of crops, from fungicides, insecticides, miticides, herbicides, and bacteriophages, Certis Biologicals is determined to deliver solutions that growers need to continue feeding the world.
Certis Biologicals traces its roots to notable early leaders in the development of biological and botanical pesticides, beginning with the formation of Thermo Trilogy in 1996 and the acquisition of neem technologies from W.R. Grace. Since then, the company has grown by identifying and acquiring products that complement its expansive product line. These include baculovirus products acquired from Biosys in 1997 and Bt bioinsecticide products acquired from Novartis in 1997 and Ecogen in 2002.
In 2001, Mitsui & Co., a leading Japanese trading company, acquired Thermo Trilogy and renamed it Certis USA LLC. Within Mitsui's AgriScience Division, Certis USA is recognized as the global axis for the development and distribution of biological control technologies worldwide. Today the company’s product line represents some of the finest bioproducts and active ingredients in the industry.
